In anticipation

I pushed Gloria, aptly named for the season, to church this morning. It was the first time she'd managed it for several months. I didn't go back to collect her right on time.as I knew there'd be people wanting to chat to her. As I entered the church I thought the nativity scene would strike the right anticipatory note for Christmas Eve. The baby Jesus will be placed in the manger in the midnight service tonight.
