Wet and windy

A wet and windy walk with Marie this morning, an old friend.  As it was so muddy and slippery, we opted for an easy route through some of Sheffield's parks. Up to Forge Dam cafe, and back again. Time for a good catch-up. Meanwhile, Richard had the much tougher job of driving Erin home to Loughborough, through heavy rain on the busy M1.
The River Porter - normally a calm and placid sight - was roaring along, nearly over-topping its banks in places. Much more rain like this, and we will have floods in places. I feel for those who already have...
