Dinner table conversation

With everyone back from out-of-Sheffield family visits, Jack, Ruth, Josh, Marianna and all 4 grandkids came over for a late afternoon and teatime visit. Frieda and Luca had me in stitches at the dinner table, as they veered from serious moments to pure excitement about being together.
Later Eben rushed off upstairs for a session on the drums. Usually F and L find his playing very loud (it is), and they back off. But this time they danced around the room as he worked his way through Metallica's Sad but True. Lovely times. Extra: Frieda gets her turn on the drums.
Meanwhile, Simone enjoyed cuddles from everyone. All three older grandkids love rushing up to her and depositing slimy kisses; she is a patient little soul and just looks back at them with one of those enigmatic baby expressions - or sometimes with a flashed smile of her own.
