Harlaw reservoir

One of those rare but welcome sunny days in Edinburgh to mark the end of 2023. We enjoyed a 6 mile stroll from Balerno around Threipmuir and Harlaw reservoirs in the company of loads of other people. Beautiful light in the low angled sun even at mid day.

Then it was back to bash spuds and prepare neeps for tomorrow’s New Year’s Day lunch for 15 adults and numerous children. That’s a considerable quantity of veg to prepare. The pies are safely gathered in.

We’re out tonight for what has become a regular Chinese banquet with Barbara and David’s friends before going on to a drink in the Calley and outside for the Bells and fireworks.
