Tapping out

A lovely afternoon with friends in Tap & Can drinking some interesting beer and having some interesting conversations. I loved this place before but when they announced last orders at 6.30pm I could have hugged the owner. Why don’t all pubs close at 6.30pm?

An evening of reflecting on the year gone by and thinking ahead to the year to come, with some fizz, a pizza and a friend.

There have been some good times over the last year but it somehow seems quite tinged with sadness in ways that other years haven’t.

Highlights, however, have been:
- the most dreamy long weekend in Loudenvielle, totally magical
- turning 40 amongst the best of friends and family
- running my very first ultramarathon and loving every minute of it
- a wonderful holiday to Malta eating the best seafood and drinking the best wine
- absolutely loving my new job in every way and ending the year on a brilliant high
- being surrounded by excellent people

It’s been a good one. But I’m ready for 2024.
