The only photograph I’ve taken today (not quite true, I’ve a few others which are virtually identical to this one). It’s been that sort of day, there has been lots of other things to do and think about.

When I got up and looked out of the window just after 7am, the waning crescent Moon looked brilliant in the deep blue sky, close to the planet Venus. 5 minutes later it was smothered in cloud, only emerging 50 minutes later, by which time the sky had lightened, and the shining clarity was lost.
