More Sorting

I arrived at dad’s house with sister S to find brother D already there with SiL C. D has decided what he wanted to have, so those items went back home with them.

S and I then got on with the task of sorting out those things which we’ll take home with us. In due course, as we all live a long way away, we are going to use a house clearance company, so do not want to leave any “personal” items in the house prior to that happening.

We’ve made a lot of progress today. The image is of the Cornish Kitchen Ware (confusingly, made in Derbyshire), which mum must have had since the 1950’s. Sometime years ago mum wanted to get rid of it all but S persuaded her to keep it, and is taking it home. The ancient timer no longer works, that’s staying here. Mum loved cooking, and was very good at it.

It’s pie night at The Fox tonight, so I have not eaten much today. I’m hungry !
