Unwelcome visitor

I had a lovely, sunny and calm walk around the field margins this morning and didn't meet a soul. Lots of little birds in the hedges and a couple of muntjacs in the big field, but a long way away.  A kestrel kept tree hopping as I walked towards it, eventually heading back to where I had first spotted it.

JJ washed his car yesterday and spent all this morning cleaning out the inside.

This male sparrowhawk is coming in regularly so must be hungry.  Fortunately the little birds are keeping their heads down.

Our neighbour said there was a hedgehog out and about last night, which is not good because there's no food around for it.  I've checked our hedgehog house but it isn't being lived in.
