Snow

There had been a little snow overnight but thankfully, our drive was still safe to drive down as it was the first Lunch Club of 2024 this morning. The car park at the village hall had a covering of hail but someone had arrived before me and carved a track through them so I wasn’t worried. We thought perhaps the weather might deter some of our regulars from coming out today but we had a good turn out apart from those who had to travel from Ulva Ferry. Two hearty soups soon warmed everyone up and there was good conversation around the table. The cream-filled profiteroles with a rum-laced chocolate sauce were a great hit. (Extra)
As soon as I got home, Bertie and I went out for a walk as there was some blue sky and sunshine. There was very little snow under the trees but I thought the sprinkling of flakes on the path was very picturesque.
During the evening we had more snow and by the time Bertie and I went out for a last wander round the garden there was at least an inch of crunchiness, enough for him to do joyful zoomies in the stuff!
