Return of the heron

A few weeks ago I blipped a heron which was visiting our pond. Well, today it returned and  stayed for quite a while, perhaps optimistic of finding something to eat, but it was out of luck as we don’t have fish in our pond. 
All the snow has now gone and today was rather grey and damp, quite a change from the lovely snow days.
It was a day for getting lots of small jobs done and now we are looking forward to having a meal with our friends next door.
