Game off.

A frustrating situation. Passed pitch inspection twice but then the local derby match was called off minutes before kickoff - our playing younger son sent a message notifying us as we parked the car.
The 1st XV subsequently played the 2nd XV on the same pitch for about an hour, and one of today’s original officials refereed.

The wee family were on their way to watch the game and got the same message. I phoned them with an update; they changed plans and invited us for a cuppa which was welcome.
