Wild Fig tree
This magnificent tree grows in the grounds of the Port Elizabeth club. It must be a couple of hundred years old and is a landmark in the city. I'm sure it could tell a tale or two of the many dignitaries that have visited there. King George V, and Queen Elizabeth with the two princesses lunched there in 1947, and Queen Elizabeth11 visited again in 1999. Many other important people either stayed or visited there, and the tree has quietly observed it all!
Aqua aerobics this morning, followed by a visit to the vet for Coda for an injection for her skin allergy, I had a successful afternoon in town doing things I have been putting off!! Tonight I had a long chat with daughter Sally in Plettenberg Bay about the upcoming wedding arrangements for grandson T's wedding next month, and then a video call with Penni who is having a wonderful time in Cape Town.
It rained on and off all day today, which was most welcome.
Early golf tomorrow.
