Fire In The Sky

I thought the combination of a fiery glow coming through the trees as the sun set, with snow on the trunks was very tasty. I tried to play on that warm/cool contrast a bit and the purple tones in the clouds seem to play into that also.

High of 18°F today. Things are warming up a touch.

Extra: First Of The Season. A female downy woodpecker in an ash tree, a bit earlier on. I've heard a few birds about these last few days, but this is the first I've actually seen.
