Tis the Season

Continuing the crocus theme, this is Crocus stridii, named after Swedish Botanist Arne Strid, an expert on the flora of Greece.  No surprise that this crocus comes from Greece!   Rare in cultivation, mine are raised from seed of cultivated plants.

A beautiful sunny day, a hint of spring in the air.  Having helped Jamie to the station this morning as he sets off on a long weekend away, I have spent most of the day fettling the three pots I started last night, walking the dogs and making a nice meal for my tea.   So I have three pots drying in the kitchen, Bella, Meg and I did a ninety minute circuit from Ynysmaengwyn to Bryncrug and back which was followed by a tasty three course meal :-)
