The temperature has plummeted this morning and it is 4c but feels like minus 1c. I went out to buy our newspaper and The People's Friend and take last week's to my friend J. The five hens in a small field near the path I walk, are now in a newly constructed hen house. The strong wind ruined the old hen house.

The photo shows Paul petting Holly. This is such a wonderful break through, because it has taken time, nearly two months, for the cats to trust us and welcome human contact. They were incredibly cautious cats.
I will not be walking about in the cold for any photos, because it is eye wateringly freezing cold and there is plenty to do indoors.
I will watch the next episode of After the Flood on ITV at 9pm. It is set in Yorkshire and a fairly enthralling fiction.
