Sage mountain, Tortola, British Virgin Island

We do a mini trek in the rain forest on Sage mountain. ( see extra view from top) Have visited the area before and we were told by a local guide that this is where the drug barons hang out. Pass one house deep in the forest with security around. Mention this to our taxi driver who denies all knowledge . He says the only crime on the island is domestic abuse. He is a retired policeman. Area was devastated by last hurricane but vegetation all back . Only wildlife we see are geckos.

Go for a quick dip in the sea  ( see extra)which turns out to be faster than expected. 
Its on the Atlantic side with strong undercurrents. I get knocked over several times by the surf and big step in the sand trying to get to the calmer stuff. Decide this is not a good idea. Get out with help of woman  who sees me struggling. She says she is 45 years old and needed to be pulled out. I am much older.
Apparently she had watched   us  walk into the sea,  hand in hand and she said to her friend how romantic t looked .

 Little did they know I was clinging to M terrified.
