The cloud bank to the southwest looked very threatening. I climbed up the stopbank to get a view over the adjacent vineyard. Some rabbits scampered for cover in the vines. A friend wondered if she should get an umbrella from her vehicle. It did rain but it was short-lived. Such a shame because we need a lot more rain. Extreme fire danger in Marlborough.
