2024 Friday — Happy Birthday

Today is Tristan’s 17th birthday. This photo is Tristan and his mom, Desiree, who is our second grandchild.

Tristan is our first great-grandkid. We have had so much fun with him over the years. He was 7 years old before his mom married his stepdad, so during her single days we got to help a lot with Tristan. We’ve been to several weeks of summer family camp at Campus By the Sea on Santa Catalina Island; he has stayed here in Cayucos with us for three weeks several summers ago; and numerous times we have sent him a box of books for the 25 days of December leading to Christmas. He was 8 years old before our next great-grand arrived, so we enjoyed him as an “only” during those years.

He has been a wonderful big brother to his two little sisters Jade and Emillia (Millie). They all live in San Diego where his step-daddy, Justin, is serving in the U.S. Navy because that’s quite a distance from our location, we have not been with Tristan much lately.
