Cold As Ice

Late in the day, I missed the sunshine, but a few patches in an otherwise cloudy sky, reflected off some frozen pools on the lake shore giving them a faint glow.

I had to keep moving around to get the light to pick out the ridges in the ice at the edge where it transitioned to snow.

Although I tried a few combinations of scale and shape, I liked the simplicity of this frame and the pastel contrasting colours.
