Flattening Effect

Probably not visible at blip scale, but in the shadows against the rock, wind blown drifting snow can be seen. The wind made it much colder than the ambient 19°F temperature. Wind had, for the most part, flattened the features I photographed 3 days ago.

I worked hand held with the wide angle lens to get an interesting foreground and the f16 aperture gave a nice sunstar. However, that meant taking two exposures was not possible and working from a severely underexposed frame was not without challenges. Got there in the end, I think.
