Hot, then cold
A the painter was on the job just before 8am this morning, followed shortly after by two lads from the double-glazing window company. A is painting the lounge and entrance and will be finished by the end of the week. The new double-glazed inserts were installed in the windows in the second bedroom and are looking good. We are definitely on the homeward stretch now.
MrMacD made some cards that we took into town to post. We also popped into Mitre10 to buy a hinge for one of the doors and some screws to match. Our next stop was the supermarket to buy the few things we can’t really buy anywhere else. When we left home around 12:15/12:30 the temperature gauge in the car was showing 27C, as we walked out of the supermarket just after 13:00 a southerly was blowing through and the temperature had dropped to 20C. It is raining heavily as I type this. Let’s hope it’s enough to give the garden a good soaking.
While MrMacD prepared supper I caught up with my own blips. The blips for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are late postings. Tonight’s blip is on time. I still have to catch up on Blippers’ journals, but hopefully that won’t take me too long now.
There was a rather dramatic sunrise this morning.
