Wednesday: Gardening Indoors and Outdoors

A morning of very heavy rain, outside temperature around 10°C and a gentle breeze. I had a very slow start …

By midday the rain had gone and I put most of washing outside to dry, the southerly wind helped … remainder of washing dried later.

Indoors: I’d noticed that one of the pots of tomato seeds I’d sown last week had germinated, Tumbling Tom … :-)
Outside: this is my garden pond, which I “plonked” in a corner of the garden weighed down with bricks, it’s already starting to fill with water but I’ll need to turn it around for a better fit!
Also outside: the beautiful Bardsey eating apple tree, which suffered from the dry weather last summer - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3159205088233262767 - has had about a third of it’s growth pruned, the lowest branch in photo above. I took about a dozen small cuttings from the branch I removed, holding little hope of success :-(
Another worrying fact is that as I was pruning the branch I noticed lots of water standing around the roots :-(

MrD on deliveries and managed not to get wet :-)

Continued watching Series 3 of the “The Durrells” …

Love and hugs to all my family XXXX XXX XX

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
