playdate

Max, Jess and Archie took their humans on a playdate to Mersehead, and invited honorary dog-person Saskia to come along too. 

They watched us cook sausages on a fire and then played with sticks and sand, and ran about to their hearts' content. Archie found a ball, as always.

Then they had to sit in the car for a bit while we enjoyed tea and cake in New Abbey.

Everyone (dogs and humans) had such a lovely day :-)

I also had a wonderful bivvy last night, falling asleep by the light of the full moon in my favourite corner of the woods. A tawny woke me in the early hours, and then a gentle rain just before dawn, but I was warm and comfortable and rested.
