Trying to keep the Doctor away..

..they're developing. These are James Grieve, a small sweet juicy apple, hopefully the same variety we used to have in the garden in Gloucester when I was a child.

School presentation day today, lots of hand clapping, and praise for the kids. Gave some pictures of the three boys I took to the chess competition in Inverness a few months back, a prize for the most improved player ( a chess/draughts/backgammon set), and a prize for the best player (the chess clock that arrived yesterday). So it's now the school holidays up here in Scotland, a few weeks before the English counterparts.

Hopefully, now we'll get some warm summer weather. It's been damp today, and windy, and chilly. Brightened up this afternoon, but still cold.

Harvested some vegetables for the Hotel, and egg delivery tonight. So a visit to the pub too!!
