Dog Beer

The last time we were within striking distance of good friends who live near Bakewell, they were abroad and we have not been able to catch up for a few years.

So on one of the few days, if not the only day, we knew we would be free, we arranged to meet half way at Lymm in Cheshire. An hour and a bit down the M6 then 5 minutes from the junction and we were at a lovely pub next to a traditional village church.

All very welcoming with lovely food and, as you can see, catering for dogs too!

We spent a few hours catching up then headed our separate ways.

It was a lovely sunny day and when back at the cottage I went for a walk to overlook the River Lune estuary. The setting sun was lovely with strips of cloud being illuminated by the rays - see extra.

This evening our son arrived so we are all set for the family event tomorrow.
