Peschiera

Cool start to the day so went to Peschiera by bus. Mike didn't bring a jumper and it wasn't warming up so bought a lovely jumper for just 10 euros! Needless to say, the sun came out an hour later and it was scorching!

Bit of a 'to do' on the bus today. We caught the bus from Sirmione and it goes on to Verona from Brescia so as you can imagine, it gets quite full as they only run every hour. There was a queue at one of the stops and the driver only let on a couple of people as there was standing room only. However, one lady was not going to be left behind and had a bit of a quarrel with the driver saying she had been waiting for an hour and a half. She did not get on the bus and her husband gave a finger salute to the couple who did get on who had pushed in ahead of them! Not happy.

Walked around the town and caught the bus back. Went to supermarket to stock up on water, 32 cents a litre! Mike bought a bottle of Bardolino red wine for 1.99 euros! Chocolate here is lovely, he he.

Lovely evening here - a stage has been set up right outside the hotel where the locals will be putting on a dancing show, ballet and modern. They have been practising for a while now and the music is lovely.

Will go for a walk this evening and stop by the show which starts at 21.30.
