Discarded
Like unwanted lover
Cast to ground
Broken and dirty
Lying
Bemoaning its fate
What it was
In whose gentle hands
It was held
Caressed
Waved
With provocative shake
Used
As hither call
As point maker
Those gentle hands
Cream like
Porcelain purity
But cold
Uncaring
Spiteful
Casting aside all
Whose time had run their course
Casting
To ground
A lover's fan
Pale pink
As blush
As petal
Of poppy
