A Tale of Cuatro Plazas

Anti-clockwise from top left, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Real and Plaza Santa Ana. We wandered through these three all on a pleasant, late-morning walk, also including the art market Plaza Conde de Barajas. You can see we are upping our game in recording exact locations of squares and restaurants to be able to find our way back!!

The sun shone brightly, again! We were amazed at the queue outside the most famous calamares sandwich place, just off Plaza Mayor - only half of it is shown in the centre bottom shot. As always we had a lunch stop in the Cerveceria Alemana in Santa Ana where we started with marinated boquerones a la vinagre.

The train at 5pm brought us home in exactly 2 hours 30 mins (650km) and we unlocked our front door eight minutes after leaving Sants station in Barcelona!
