Les Cuisses de Grenouille

“Les cuisses de grenouille” sounds so much better than “frog legs” but that’s what I found in our walled back garden this afternoon. It was a mild day and I was clearing away some of the weeds and winter rubbish when I caught a movement out of the corner of my eye.

It was sitting behind a large flower pot and it did not seem to mind me getting reasonably close to zoom in.

We do not have a pond in the garden although there are containers filled with water given all the recent rain.

It looks a mature specimen so has either survived hidden or has found its way into the garden somehow. I’ve left it to settle back to wherever it stays.

I did have plans for a different photo for St Patrick’s Day - but that will now have to wait.
