Today's the day . . . . . . . . . to paint
Will is always in the seventh heaven when we come here because there is an endless supply of things to paint - and because he's on holiday, he can just indulge himself.
So today he chose the house of Marie-Louise in the village. She is no longer with us - but hers was always the place you went to, to buy walnuts and walnut oil. Both of these bear no resemblance to the ones you can buy in our shops at home in the UK. They were unbelievably delicious.
Marie-Louise's house is very old as you can see here. Those galleries up high on the barn were where they dried the walnuts. The extra is another house nearby - not so old but still typical of this part of France . . . . . . . . .
