DOUBLE BOOKED

Up to unpack and repack for my Golden Girls trip….
Then onto church for Palm Sunday service. The Rev was presiding at our local church so I went there too. He did well. I sneaked out quickly at the end to sort out food stuff for my trip and then we had to leave for Sunday lunch in Kent.
We had thought this lunch date was last week and I was supposed to be away with my friends so we went down in 1 car and The Rev got the train home.
We had a really good lunch and lots of laughter. The other 2 men used to work for The Rev when he ran a decorating company. They have carried on the trade a bit. One of the wife’s is my bestie Angela who worked with me for 15 years. So lots of memories to share. We told them about the Revs diagnosis just before we left. Their words were a great comfort.

Just over a hour later I was greeted with cake and a cocktail…. When good friends know what you need.
