Sunny day cherry

Today in Tokyo was wonderfully sunny, although breezy and cool. We explored the Shinjuku district, where we’re staying. I read that it’s sometimes called the skyscraper district of Tokyo. Today’s cherry blossom photo is of a street tree near our hotel.

We walked a few km to the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, which we enjoyed greatly, along with many thousands of other visitors. The first extra features a nearby skyscraper that somewhat dominates the skyline. The second extra I call ‘Snapping the Snappers’, as visitors enjoyed cherry blossom season.
