Easter Greetings

Here's hoping all Blippers are having a happy  Easter.

We've spent most of the day  involved at the local Easter egg hunt., where we were helping to supervise one of the eleven different activities on offer. There was something for everyone, from  a simple hunt for egg shaped pieces of paper for toddlers, through to a rural, orienteering style race for older children and adults, with several urban courses of different length and difficulty, in between. We helped with a three staged maze challenge, designed to show children how to use a simple map to follow a route through  different stations, finishing with a timed challenge to find six stations, in order, in a maze, as quickly as possible.(See extra). It proved very popular with the children and their parents, being both  fun, but also educational,  introducing them to the benefits of being able to  map read.
Nearly 300  people participated in the day's  events, each one earning an Easter egg! 
We were blessed with fine, if slightly chilly, weather, so all in all it proved a really successful day.
