Not a bird

I wonder why it is that when I take the time to set up the camera, and get all the settings just perfect to take a nice bird shot....no birds come to the normally popular bird bath? hmmmm

This is not a bird, it is a wasp, I think. No.3 son was intrigued by the camera sitting there and was taking pictures of the bird bath but the settings were a bit off as yesterday when I had set it up that spot was in the shade, and early this morning it was in the sun. So I was showing him how to change the white balance and move little "thingie" back to the center of the "other thingie" (technical term LOL)...we got it set and took a picture to see if everything looked good, and here was this little bug flying in for a drink - so, with no birds around, he is my blip.
