Square hole, round snail

A busy day in the garden, digging out unwanted plants and the dead Box, which was attacked by caterpillars last summer.  I also went up to the golf club for lunch with JJ and Liam before they went out to play.  As Liam is now a member he needs to get a handicap.

The hostas have already been well and truly eaten by snails or slugs and I'll have to go out with a torch to find them.  I might be feeding the hedgehog too well.

I captured this snail and put it on the garden table before persuading it that the orchard is a better home.  It tried in vain to get through one of the squares in the table but eventually realised that it wouldn't fit.
