spectacular spectacle

Up early to take Leo to the vet. He was booked in for 9am and was going to be knocked out to have the 'spigaou' removed. Cried leaving him there...he so didn't want to be left. With his master already away for the past few days, he was not in good form at all.

Called to the sous-prefecture after leaving Leo off and picked up the forms for changing my registration plate to a French one.

Mum and dad got back from Wimbledon today. Kept the vet visit from them as didn't want them to worry whilst they were away.

Picked Leo up at 4pm and he was a bit groggy, but the procedure had gone well. The picture here is what the vet pulled out of his nasal canal. No wonder he'd been sneezing like mad!

Brought him to Mirabel to be reunited with mum and dad after. Told them the whole craic and dad was just delighted to see him and to know he was OK.

They had a great time in London and at Wimbledon. They were telling me all about the atmosphere, the grunting, the fast serves and generally how lovely everyone was to them. Great memories for them.

Drove to Carrie's to go and see the girls in their end of school show. It was on at 6.30pm, then back to Carrie's for dinner (eat and run), then to the Roman amphiteatre in Vaison la Romaine for the next show the girls were involved in. They go to dance class and this was a show put on by their dance teacher - what a venue for a 5 and 7 year old to be able to perform in! Class. The best part of it was that it started at 10pm. It had to be dark. Typical of here...having wee kids taking part in something starting at 10pm! Why not do it in the winter when it's dark at 5pm!? Still, once a year won't hurt them and it was pretty spectacular. Took a couple of photos there, but they didn't turn out very well so it's the fameux spigaou as today's shot!
