Prelude to Fireworks

When I woke at 5:30 this morning I stepped onto the deck outside of our upstairs master bedroom and could see lovely color in the sky. Now this evening, the daylight made its exit in another stunning exhibition of color.

This photo is looking toward the northwest. We had been sitting on the back patio enjoying the "cool down" after this day of heat; then I walked toward the front gate and this is what I saw.

This has been a very kick-back day. I am enjoying doing a lot of nothing -- okay, I did a few tasks, but not much. Soon I'll get the photos from last week's family camp back-blipped. It was a very good week!
