Mercado de Colon

After all the excitement and sunshine over the weekend, today was much quieter, cloudier and fresher. I spent the day shopping and looking for things for the flat. It has a tiny balcony (half of it is taken up by the air conditioning unit) but it gets the sun in the afternoon, so I was looking for a very small table and chairs so I could sit out but sadly everything was too big. I did enjoy visiting this market which used to be a food market but now has a combination of vintage and craft stalls and excellent cafes and restaurants. It’s supposed to be one of the most iconic examples of Valencian art nouveau.
I’m binge watching Ripley on Netflix tonight. It’s not as good as the Anthony Minghella film with Matt Damon and Jude Law but it’s beautifully filmed and very atmospheric.
