Mrs P

La Vida Valenciana

I visited the local Ruzafa market this morning (cheaper and less touristy than the main market) and stocked up on cheese from our favourite stall. The trouble is that the food in Valencia is delicious, cheap and plentiful but that’s not good for my expanding waistline!
I have this vision of Mr P arriving back in Peebles stick thin after his gruelling 35 day Camino. Therefore I decided to walk around the Turia Gardens (managed about 5 of the 7km). Unfortunately I was starving when I got home and tucked into the cheeses!
I’m trying to do something different every day now that I’m on my own for a while and so I’ve signed up to a local events’ website. I was briefly tempted by the Yoga Full Moon Beach party tonight until I realised that I’d probably be the only person there over 30 and it’s been over 30 years since I last did any yoga!
Instead I read my book on our sunny balcony in the afternoon, chose some new blackout blinds for our kitchen and finished off watching Ripley in the evening. Very creepy, I’m checking everything is double locked before I go to bed.
