Day 9 Camino Sansol to Logroño (21km)

Tough day at the office today. Two rain storms caught us out, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We got soaked though I managed to keep my gear dry by using a cover for my rucksack in addition to my trusty poncho. Saying this, it’s a bit of a performance putting the poncho on when it starts to rain. So much so, that i managed to wear my poncho inside out!
Todays blip show us getting a blessing in a church next to the hostel where we are staying. We met in the local church and said a few players in the choir stalls. We chose to stay in a public albergue run by the local parish church as everything else in Logroño seemed to be full, No money changed hands and accommodation plus our communal meal is effectively free. If you want to pay, it is purely voluntary.
