Barbecue successfully assembled

We've um'd and ah'd about buying a barbeque for the past 3 years and never got around to it. Last week we were in town and spotted this model and bought it on impulse using money I was given for my birthday. We'd done plenty of research, of course, and this company had good write-ups with the exception of people saying it was difficult to assemble and heavy to move.

Assembly took about an hour and could not have been simpler, I'm not sure what the problems were. It was easier than many a flatpack I've put together. Good diagrams and instructions, as far as I was concerned you couldn't really go wrong.

The best news is that we are expecting a heat wave over the next week, just the right time to buy the barbeque. One of the reasons we've put it off in the inclement British weather. Perhaps we will have a barbeque summer after all.

The day got off to a good start, a 20km ride at the gym, then a successful letter to Network Rail about the destruction (see 14th May 2013) they caused along a cutting during the peak nesting period. It took the RSPB 5 weeks and a terse prompt to provide any help and assistance. Anyway the letter was also copied to the police and the local newspaper. Maybe it will add more weight to the issue. If you want, you can read more here.

Then bottled a further 14 bottles of elder flower champagne. The first brew is fermenting nicely and gives a satisfying fizz when burped!
