Jardin de Montfort
Unusually cloudy here today and very muggy. I went to a Gregorian Chant Mass this morning at this spectacular church.
After Mass I embarked on a grand tour of seven art exhibitions. I only had to pay for one and got a half price €4 OAP ticket! The exhibitions were a bit hit or miss but it’s a shame that Mr P’s not here as he would really have appreciated at least a couple of them.
I’ve noticed that the arts sector in Spain seems to be far more subsidised than ours. Concerts and plays are a fraction of the price and the cinemas only charge about €5 for a ticket. €1.50 for the arthouse cinema.
After my gallery visits, I sat in the Monforte Gardens (hidden gem) to chill out before walking home though the Turia Gardens.
I was ravenous by the time I got back to the flat. After a late lunch, I caught up with Mr P on a video call. He was tired but it sounds like his Camino experience has been really positive to date.
Talking of positive news, my friend Jean is continuing to do well. He’s now out of hospital and in rehab.
Also son no 1 and his girlfriend have arrived safely in Tokyo after a long journey. They’ll be touring around Japan for the next couple of weeks. Strange to think that 2 of our sons are now in Asia.
