Holidays in Phoenix

Like a lot of other people we celebrated Independence Day by going to the pictures. We actually spent a couple of hours in the pool, packed for our trip, then went to the pictures. We saw Heat, with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. K liked it more than me but it was ok. There were some very funny bits and they didn't all show up in the trailer. In fact, I heard a critic singing its praises the other day because it's the first "buddy cop" movie with two female cops - who knew?
We finished up with Tacos and beer on the way home. All in all, a good day. Early to bed tonight to be ready to get up at 3:00 am! Ugh! Who said traveling is glamorous?
