In the Pink.
We have a glorious sunny, hot day here in Rishton. So happy!
The sky is azure blue and the birds at the station, mostly chaffinches and blue tits, and in the park are singing like all their birthdays have come at once.
Sadly I attended a funeral at St. Charles this morning, for Mrs. Peters, the wife of the shoe repairer, John, who passed away before Christmas, 21 December 2012, that special day when the Mayan calendar ended.
Both were devoted to each other and lovely Rishtoners who cared about people, and were very kind and family minded Christians.
Father Martin mentioned that a baby had been born to the family very recently, so some joy will come from the new little one.
Then I went to a talk in the library, which due to the lovely weather was not attended by many, but I met up with Jane and Carole and we had a nice chat. The aim of the talk was to encourage people to come and join a Stepping Out group.
These organised rambles for older people have been running for 10 years
After lunch, I did some watering of the local bedding plants.
All are in need of extra care in this lovely sunny weather.
I am praying Andy Murray has a great match and wins.
Have a splendid sunny Friday and good weekend blipper friends.
I went looking for a pretty garden to blip this morning, and the choice was between peonies, but I had done that yesterday, so the roses won.
