Finally - they love the bird bath

I bought this bird bath a few years ago. You may remember that I moaned that it was being totally ignored. I continued to clean it and fill it with fresh water and it’s finally come into its own.

Yes, the pigeons and the jackdaws are regular splashers, but today, as I was reading a Val McDermid by the house, I spotted this happy Starling. 

I eventually gave the bench its second coat of oil yesterday - when it didn’t rain. (extra)
