Mirador del Fito

Sad to leave the rural hotel today . We saw one of their newly born calves before we left.
There are lots and lots of viewpoints around here but this one is one of the most well known. In fact Monty Don ended his Spanish Gardens Tour on tv here .
The view was impressive and made the winding mountain road to reach it worth the risk especially as we were overtaken by someone on a blind corner !!
Luckily, it wasn’t far to Colonga and our Airbnb near the coast . We were greeted by the owner, Silvia who couldn’t have been more helpful. She gave us maps and mentioned some interesting places to visit.
We passed quite a few walkers doing the Northern route of the Camino - some were really limping but all carried the scallop shell symbol .
