Lupines
We were on the road by 7:00, a new record. Guess we are getting better at gathering and packing the night before. The trip was uneventful. I hardly had my eyes open-too tired. We made three quick stops along the way: at the first MD rest area, at a new (to us) BBQ restaurant-delish and to get some gasoline. We got back to the county in eight hours, another record. Decided to shop for groceries; had to go to two stores to find everything we needed. I am contributing a veggie tray to Lauren’s party tomorrow and our fresh veggie bin was empty. We are home, mostly unpacked, I’ve surveyed my gardens and we are ready to quit for the night. Hoping you are ready for a fun weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “It was a splendid afternoon. Lupine and yarrow were woven between grasses; swallowtails connected flower to flower.” - Terry Tempest Williams
