Strawberry

Today's the day ........................ to feed the young

This is the first strawberry ready for picking in the polytunnel - Dominic is going to have it for breakfast tomorrow.

Not such good weather today, so we haven't strayed far from the house but Tim and Dominic went for a dip in the swimming pool in Kirkcudbright (see extra) this morning.  There's been more bird photography going on - this time involving Will's scope which is set up to watch the nuthatch nestbox on a nearby tree.  There are obviously young in the nest now and both parents are frantically searching for food to fill the hungry brood.

The second extra is Dominic's shot (taken on my mobile through the scope?!) of one of the adults arriving with a beakful of food to pass in through the hole to the waiting young ....................
