Pop of Colour
I spent yesterday catching up at home whilst Andy played golf. With the house quiet and the rain outside it was a good time to do some chores. Merlin waited patiently until late morning for his walk.
Later I spent a few hours at the allotment weeding and planting out climbing French beans, aubergines, courgettes and cucumbers. I have held some in reserve at home in case they don’t survive. The slugs and snails are prolific this year.
Today it’s been very wet all day so I haven’t minded being at my desk. These poppies seen on my lunchtime wander brought some much welcome colour. Hopefully tomorrow will be drier.
Grateful:
- To get through my planned work for the day on a very tight schedule.
- To hear from a family member who wanted to say thanks for the visit at the weekend.
- To hear from a neighbour about some positive steps to try to protect our local stream and green-space.
