Presidential. Lumix M4/3 20mm

A dear friend has been visiting in Boston over the last few days.  It's always fun to see one's home city through the eyes of a visitor.  So we went to the JFK Presidential Library down at Columbia Point for a visit today.  
The exhibit begins with a 20 minute movie made up of clips starting with Jack as a young man, in the Navy during WW2, and then his foray into politics, his marriage to Jacqueline Bouvier, and concluding with his election as the 35th US President in 1960 at the age of 43.  The video gives one a clear sense of what a powerful orator JFK was, a deep intellect behind the words, how handsome and charismatic he was, and what a beautiful couple he and Jacqui were.  I found it to be very moving.  
One is left to wonder how this country would have turned out if his nascent presidency hadn't ended in tragedy in 1963, and how we have gotten to the place we are in now.
The building housing the Library is right on the water, with downtown Boston as a backdrop.  It was designed by I.M. Pei, and completed in 1977.
I took several images, and finally decided to post as the Main, a wonderful portrait of the man himself as it appears at the entrance.  
The Extras show the dramatic architecture as one walks through the exhibits.  
I'm pleased we went.  The visit provides a conclusion to my previous Blip of JFK's birthplace on a quiet, tree-lined street in Boston's Brookline neighborhood.
